Covid-19

We often talk about the voice over industry being quite a solitary business. I guess now is a time to embrace the fact that as voiceover artists (and agents) we are in the fortunate position of not having to head to the open plan office to hang with 20 other people on a daily basis.

But it does bear thinking about the possible ramifications for the voiceover industry.

It’s important that you keep doing the things that make you all great voice over artists - keep your voices in top notch condition, make sure your demo reels and profiles are up to date and keep loving what you do!

VO trends might turn to low-risk ‘let’s get those sales’ type VO along with the calming story-telling voiceover artist that will reassure us that there is no need for panic buying. Let’s make sure we keep washing our hands with soap and water as we sing Happy Birthday twice to ourselves and our do our best to ensure the wellbeing of ourselves and our clients.

There is also some good health information here and in this video with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Dr Michelle Dickinson and Dr Juliet Gerrard.
