What do I add and where?! Is there such a thing as the perfect way to present all that you can do as a voiceover artist!? How much is too much? How much is too little?
Here are our Basic Recommendations:
1. Please make sure you select the main categories you work in from COMMERCIAL, ANIMATION, GAMING, NARRATION . These are our base categories. And here we would like four separate demo reels if you work in all four areas (or at least a track that is an example of the category).
2. Within these base categories we have various filters that allow us to filter you by the brief we have been given by the client. A lot of time if you have one of these filters selected we will then be requesting a customised audition specific to the project we're working on. Demos help us here but don't upload the same demo more than once.
NOTE: most of time it is us at BigMouth doing the voice searches more than clients finding you online. We are more of a hands on agency than a P2P
3. LANGUAGES. Only add a language if you have a demo to support it. And remember to include your natural language as well as any other languages you speak FLUENTLY
4. ACCENTS. Only add an accent if you have a demo to support it. If you have accents and no demo we will delete it as we have no way of knowing how good your accent is and it wastes our time if you come up in a search and we can't sub you to the client without an accent specific demo.
5. We use the term NATURAL if you can pass as a local and this refers more to NARRATION and COMMERCIAL VO work. We use the term CHARACTER if the accent is a space you work in and it’s more for GAMING and ANIMATION.
5. Always make sure you also add your own accent(s) and your own language(s)!
